Host Jake Brown opened the show by welcoming former New York Jets wide receiver Rob Carpenter to the WGBB studio as special guest co-host for the hour. Guests included former New Jersey Nets point guard Kenny Anderson, who spoke a bit about his NBA career, and gave his thoughts on both the Knicks and Nets, including some pointed opinions on Carmelo Anthony, Phil Jackson and Deron Williams. Anderson also had some interesting thoughts on the recent cancellation by Sony of the new movie, The Interview.
In the second half of the show, Jake and Rob discussed a variety of topics including the Mets and Troy Tulowitzki: Do they have a shot? Would it be a smart deal? Who play shortstop for in Queens this season? The Yankees trade of Martin Prado was debated- was this a good move? What’s the next move for the Yankees this off-season? The disastrous start for the Knicks was also talked about, including thoughts by some that the team should sit Carmelo Anthony for the remainder of the season.
The guys closed out the program talking some NFL football, including a Jets/Giants season in review, the future of Rex Ryan and John Idzik, and who might quarterback the Jets next season.
